Transitional Instruction Program for bilingual students provides the services of a bilingual teacher or assistant working on a one-on-one or small group basis, with identified limited English proficient students. Students are identified for this program based on their performance on a language screening which assesses listening, speaking, reading, and writing in English.

The bilingual teacher or assistant work under the direction of the child's classroom teacher, providing individual attention, assistance in the child's native language, and assisting in parent/school communication. Other services available to Limited English Proficiency students include reading improvement, Title 1 support, peer tutors, after school support programs, and special education services if found eligible.

English classes are available for parents at Lakeview School.
