Title I
The Purpose of a Title I Plan lays out the educational objectives for the district. These objectives, in turn serve as goals for the use of funds in the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). The Illinois State Board of Education must first approve the grant, which aims to address any disparities that result in low-income and/or minority students/schools. After approval, the district must then monitor disbursement of funding, monitoring of services, and keep documentation supporting the efforts of each building.
Zion ESD 6 has established a new 5-year Strategic Plan 2025-2030, which serves as the foundation for all programs, professional development, materials requisition, and family-community events. Our diligent efforts in housing artifacts to reflect Title I funding/services at each school, and as a district, is required.
