Bus Ridership Code of Conduct
While riding the school bus my child will:
- Be under the authority of the bus driver.
- Do not fight, wrestle, or participate in any boisterous activities.
- Only use the emergency door at the time of an emergency.
- Be on time for the bus both in the morning and after school.
- Do not bring potentially harmful materials, weapons, etc. on the bus.
- Remain seated while the bus is in motion.
- Cross the road in front of the bus or as instructed by the driver when exiting the bus.
- Do not extend his or her hands, arms, or head through the bus windows.
- Enter and exit the bus at his or her assigned stop. Any changes in this process must be prearranged by providing written permission to the school administration.
- Accept an assigned seat by the driver.
- Converse in a normal tone; loud or vulgar language is prohibited.
- Do not open or close windows without the permission of the driver.
- Do not eat and/or drink while on the bus.
- Participate in keeping the bus clean, refraining from causing damage to it.
- Be courteous to the driver, fellow pupils and passers-by.
