ZESD 6 is committed to accurately verifying the residency of all students. This ensures we can best serve our community and allocate resources effectively.

Returning students' addresses will be verified through CLEAR Residency Verification. Once residency is confirmed, registration codes will be sent directly to the parent or guardian's email address on file — and the best part? No residency documents will be needed to complete online registration, as CLEAR will have already handled the verification for you.

If your student is new to the district, if your family has recently moved, or if we haven't been able to automatically confirm your residency with CLEAR Residency Verification, you will need to provide proof of residency. We encourage all families to begin gathering the necessary documentation now to ensure a smooth and efficient Online-Onsite registration process.

How do I submit my Proof of Residency?

If your student is new to the district, or if your family has recently moved, you will need to provide proof of residency.

Parents and guardians may submit Proof of Residency documents at the District Office located at 2800 29th Street, Zion Illinois.

For the 2026-2027 school year: residency documents can be uploaded in the registration portal for complete online registration. If needed, residency documentation can be provided atthe District Office located at 2800 29th Street, Zion Illinois.

Why do I need to provide Proof of Residency?

Information for families who do not rent or own property

If you do not have a signed lease, if you do not rent, or if you do not own property, you must submit a notarized* Residency Affidavit Form.
