Every returning student is required to submit Proof of Residency (1), and Required Health Forms (2) during Registration.

Step 2: Electives (Grades 6-8 Only)
In Middle School, each grade will participate in select exploratory coursework. In addition, students are provided opportunities to select and rank their top four students are provided opportunities to select and rank their top four Elective courses in the Spring of the prior year.
What are Electives?
Elective classes offer students an opportunity to explore a variety of interests and curiosities that fall outside the core curriculum.
Elective classes are a semester long, and allow for deeper exploration within a predetermined subject matter.
Example Electives course framework
For example, 6th-grade students will be able to choose from a variety of introductory classes such as General Music, General Art, or Performing Art Introductory classes (Band, Orchestra, Choir) where they will explore different aspects of the content and determine what they are most interested in.
The 6th-grade introductory classes are precursor to allows students to explore interests and determine what they might want to pursue in 7th and 8th grades. For example, in General Music students will explore different instruments and if they enjoy those activities in 7th & 8th grade, they can focus more in-depth on classes like Guitar or Piano learning more specific skills.
Do I automatically get my first choice class?
It is with the greatest commitment to honor students' elective choice(s), however, due to the number of students enrolled, and the limited seats available in each class, we cannot guarantee students will be enrolled in their choice(s). Students who are experiencing issues with their assigned Elective course may contact their school office for additional support.
Why can't I choose my Elective?
Students who demonstrate a need for additional academic support are enrolled in Learning Lab, Language Lab or Resource Study Skills in place of an Elective.
Learning Lab, Language Lab and Resource Study Skills classes allows students to receive individualized instructional support with their core curriculum studies. Once a student demonstrates proficiency in their skills, they will have the option to select and enroll in an Elective course.
Step 3: Online Registration Application (Grades K-8)
Snapcode
Parents/guardians of currently enrolled students will receive a student-specific Snapcode to the email address on file to complete the Registration Application for the next school school.
Online Registration Application
The Registration Application will be completed online.
- Residency, health and medical forms can be uploaded during the registration process. If needed, forms can be submitted to any attending school or the district office.
The Online Registration Application can be accessed through the PowerSchool MyPowerHub portal. During the registration process, you will be provided your parent/guardian credentials to access the MyPowerHub portal.
The Online Registration Application link is located in the Forms section of MyPowerHub portal.
- Parents/guardians will have the option to select an English or Spanish registration form when entering their SnapCode information.
Using your student-specific Snapcode, complete the Online Registration Application.
Step 4: Registration Application Status
Once the Online Registration Application is complete and all required documents are submitted, you will receive an email confirmation that your child is FULLY REGISTERED.
- If there is information or documentation that is incomplete, you will receive an email identifying registration is PENDING with information regarding outstanding details.
- You may return to the online registration portal to provide any further information or documentation required.
Students with FULLY REGISTERED status will be placed in class(es).
