Collaborative Minds: Fostering Critical Thinking Through Student Conversation
ZESD 6 teachers came together after school for a professional development session through our ZD6 Academy! West Elementary teachers Kelly Llanas and Katrina Wiltse led the session, which focused on "Collaborative Minds: Fostering Critical Thinking Through Student Conversation." Participants engaged in hands-on math activities aligned with Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR) skills and focused on standards for student mathematical practice. They gained valuable insights to bring back to their classrooms through dialogue, discussion, and doing.
